To help us do this we need to gather full information for all candidates. Therefore it is important that as a potential candidate you provide all the information requested on this application form. Incomplete forms may not be considered.
Before submitting your application please ensure that you have:

We believe that for safeguarding and good practice to happen, we need all our staff to be carefully selected, feel valued and encouraged, and are appropriately trained, managed and supported in their work. Everything we do promotes the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people we work with.
The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) have merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). CRB checks are now called DBS checks. Please be aware that we carry out extensive safeguarding checks for all positions including an enhanced DBS. Please ensure that you give full details of any criminal conviction, including any spent convictions, or pending circumstances that might lead to prosecution, conviction, bind-over or caution. The disclosure of a criminal record, or other information, will not necessarily preclude you from working at Hexagon but failing to disclose a conviction will. Any discrepancies between your statement on the application form and a DBS that cannot be explained or if the explanation is unacceptable, your offer of employment will be withdrawn. Any information you give will be treated in the strictest confidence.
In addition to the DBS Check detailed above, applicants for employment in the residential homes should not be disqualified from caring for children under The Disqualification for Children’s Regulations 2002, nor should a referral have been made to the DBS resulting in a person being barred from working/volunteering with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.
A job offer will not be made without 3 satisfactory references. One must be your present or last employer (where applicable) and another second employer. If your latest employment was/has been for less than three years we will additionally take up references from your employer prior to that post.
If you have not been employed previously, please provide academic and character references.
We reserve the right to seek references at any point in the recruitment process and from any previous employers listed in the ‘Previous Employment’ section of your application form. We will also seek references from any employer where you have been employed in a caring capacity to determine your suitability to work with vulnerable children and young people.
