Salary: Negotiable, competitive (NHS/HMPS band 7/8 range)
Hours: 37 hours per week (potential for part-time if preferred)

As part of Hexagon Care Services’ continued growth and service development we are now recruiting a Qualified Psychologist to provide support, assessment and interventions to young people in our care. The successful candidates will join an established team of psychologists, psychotherapists and associated allied health professionals.
The post holder will conduct individualised clinical and psychological assessments, and provide tailored interventions informed by best practice guidance. In an allocated residential home with a small dedicated caseload, the post holder will work closely with care and education colleagues as part of a multi disciplinary team.
The successful candidates’ role will be interesting and diverse. These posts will be within our specialist therapeutic services and working with young people who present with complex needs including autistic spectrum conditions, adverse childhood experiences, mild mental health difficulties, forensic histories and associative other behaviours. We aim to develop and further embed a range of psychological approaches across our registered provisions. These may include DBT, Systemic Psychotherapy, CBT, Person-Centred Therapy and EMDR. We welcome candidates trained in these approaches, as well as those who can offer alternative psychological approaches to enhance our service provision.
To be considered for this role we would expect candidate to demonstrate:
- Registration with appropriate bodies
- Experience working with areas such as ASD, Attachment issues, Trauma, Mental Health or other experience relevant to the client group.
